    This study identifies discrepancies between ESL student and TESOL faculty perceptions in terms of the relative importance and difficulty of L2 writing amid other aspects of L2 language development such as reading, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation for IEP students preparing to study at an English-medium university. The creation of storyboards as a prewriting strategy helps learners develop their writing skill (Linares, ). Before the invention of web tools, digital storyboards were likely to be created by using pictures and/or images from the internet, nowadays web tools like Storybird can provide the images learners need, systematically organized.
